about

"Subject to Die" is the seventh Poison the Preacher song ever released. With this neck snapping and fast mayhem of a song we continue to carry the Thrash Hardcore flag inspired by bands like Power Trip, Drain, Dead Heat, Enforced, Mindforce, etc. This one talks about the paramilitar occupation and massacres around little towns in Colombia during the armed conflict, we wrote this song with hopes that this history will never be forgotten.

lyrics

Death came in rubber boots
A party of horror, squad of doom
Rapings, tortures, and some impaled
The town you built is now a tale
Tears fall mixed with blood
Schools with gone kids and bullet holes
Devil’s playground, child’s play
And always playing with empty shells

(Subject to die)
The sun of hope eclipsed by torture
(Subject to die)
Don’t know who’s next to die
(Subject to die)
A vision of despair, listen to the sound of fear
(Subject to die)

Nowhere to go, nowhere to hide
Always with fear of what’s on their minds
Trying not think about the losses
But the sidewalks are always filled with corpses

(Subject to die)
The sun of hope eclipsed by torture
(Subject to die)
Don’t know who’s next to die
(Subject to die)
A vision of despair, listen to the sound of fear
Subject to die
Puente
Terror and subjugation
Until they are all gone

(Subject to die)
The sun of hope eclipsed by torture
(Subject to die)
Don’t know who’s next to die
(Subject to die)
A vision of despair, listen to the sound of fear
Subject to die

Ghost echoes of dead memories
Whisper the story of a town held hostage, We won’t forgive, must not forget
The stench of blood in the air

about

Poison the Preacher Bogotá, Colombia

From the depths of Colombia, Poison The Preacher rises from the decaying state of our country. A bunch of music students gathered together to create the perfect mix of thrash, hardcore and crossover thrash, taking all of those genres to the next level of aggresion and anger with a really raw style. Just music to f*ck sh*t up. ... more
